Adult Telescope Mentoring

Are you willing to share your knowledge as a Mentor?

We need Mentors to help with everything from "Which End Is Up" to CCD imaging.

Contact Mark Dakins at OSP if you are willing to be a mentor.

This is an opportunity for you to give one-on-one help with your telescope at your campsite, or with their telescope at their campsite. This is entirely flexible as to where and what is covered. Some are looking on how to set up their scopes and point it somewhere interesting. While others may be looking for help with CCDs and astrophotography. Or anywhere in between.

We'll do our best to match the request with your knowledge as a Mentor.

We will provide a sign-up a sheet for people in need of help or advice. This sheet will be at the Information Tent. The volunteer mentors will watch the list. If one of skills requested is in your area of knowledge, please reply and then the two of you can decide on a mutually convenient time and place to meet for the session.

As was true last year, a mentor's time commitment to a session will remain 90 minutes.

There are always many opportunity for mentoring and we are always short of mentors. So, if you are interested, sign up as early as possible with Mark.

This program is offered for Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Again, this is a limited program, but we'll do our best to help you to help others.
